This holiday takes in some of the fascinating villages around the Carse of Stirling, and some wonderful panoramic viewpoints of the surrounding landscape. The varied route of 60 odd miles or so, with its castles, monuments, woods and river sides will certainly be memorable. If you like to explore the countryside when it's quieter, then doing so out of season is the way; that adds to the adventure and also to the challenge.
Between mid October and Easter you can have the ways and trails pretty much to yourself — they're absolutely great then!
